Step 4: Then Windows will automatically determine the best settings for your computer. In the pop-up window, select Try recommended settings. Step 5: Click Test this program. If the issue has been solved, click Apply to save the changes.
Sorry man, I've never had my manual saves not show in the load menu, so I just don't have a ready solution. I figured it out: what I needed to do was open up the saved games folder and delete the ".tmp" ending from the saved file, so that ".ess" is the only ending. When I did that it showed up on the load menu again.
- My antivirus allows Fallout 4 to run, and I do not have other programs of the kind. - I have no mods which would interfere with saves. - I turned off cloud saves on Steam. - Although sleeping show that the game has been quicksaved, it is not the case as when I reload the last save I'm thrown back to when save/quicksave was working.

Fallout 4 Saves Not Showing Up some people suggest to 'check file integrity' if you have a steam install. be aware that it does not work and if you have mod instaled they will be broken and you will have to reinstall everything.

Copy those saves to .\steam\userdata\\22380\remote\saves (or just \remote), so they are mirrored. The game should pick them up if they are in both spots. By the way, weren't you using ModOrganizer in the old installation? Because it uses profile-bound saves which should be visible if you load the game from MO.

The game will be fine for about 10 minutes and then this will happen. I'm not in survival mode. It wont let me save using the in-game console commands (It will just say a prompt at the top left that is cannot save at this time) All threads I looked up said it's because the game is saving. It's so frustrating being an hour in and losing so much

2: You do not want to quick save. It's a pain in the ass, but the same issues that have plagued Bethesda games since Oblivion, is that both the quick save and auto save features will eventually kill your save. Even after all of this time, they haven't even remotely fixed the issues related to these features.
When playing The Witcher 3, I am able to sync with the steam cloud before the game launches, but after the game closes, it does not give Steam Cloud time to sync. In order to make sure my save files are synced, I have to re-launch the game, cancel the launch so I stay in Steam, wait for the sync to finish, and then quit again.
Heyas 1ae. Yeah. Some people really really get into the appearance of their characters, which is one of the reasons why I brought this up. And yeah, I totally agree, it's not something that we think about.
Fallout 4 Will Not Locate Saves. I just recently did a reinstall of Windows 10 (sigh) onto a new SSD. I had Fallout 4 and some other games backed up to my HDD, then moved them to the new SSD. Steam located the game just fine etc, but here's the hitch. For some reason, Fallout 4 will not go into C:/Documents/My Games/Fallout 4, I think it

I Un-installed the game on steam and then deleted every folder in my program files and documents etc. Basically removing all information other than Nexus Mod manager. I then re-installed Fallout4 on Steam with all the DLC's. When i went to play the game i had a bunch of saves
