The TV is connected to AVR with an HDMI cable plugged into to the ARC port of each device. The satellite television is connected to the AVR through HDMI port 1. Some TVs require the initial setup to be redone. My buddies Samsung would use ARC until we did the setup. Just switching to HDMI didnt work.

Believe it or not the HK is a giant upgrade (by Subaru standards lol). I'm sure there are better speaker options but I haven't bothered to upgrade on mine because I just don't care enough about it. For my the HK system is adequate enough.

The Harmon Kardon Amp and additional speakers powered by that amp will NEVER EVER NO WAY turn on with Serius. It WILL work with FM (who cares) and anything you plug in even a dam phone.
