Most manufacturers would rate an $1100 speaker as reaching down into the mid-50s Hz, at least. 69 Hz is more like a compact bookshelf LF rating than a floorstander. But the CM8 never sounded bass-shy on any material and the bass quality was extraordinary in every respect.

The only down side to the bass is an mid-bass hump of +/- 5db at 100-150Hz wich can make them a little boomy sounding. However in a larger room this is less noticeable, and the deeper bass takes over. Mid/high. The midrange is maybe one of its strongest points, it sounds very neutral and airy.
