Option 2: DAI main quest up through the end of What Pride Had Wrought, Inquisitor drinks from the Well, then do the first half of Descent -- which is clearing the darkspawn nest and discovering the final elevator, then do JoH through What Yet Lingers, then jump back and finish Descent, then finish JoH, then finish the main quest, then Trespasser. If you can beat the Ogre Alpha in the beginning you should be fine.
